Factory Supervisor

Description:

A well-established manufacturing company in the glass and aluminium industry is looking for an experienced Factory Supervisor with strong leadership capabilities and hands-on production experience to oversee daily factory operations and ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and motivate factory staff across multiple departments including cutting, assembling, polishing, lamination, and dispatch

• Manage daily production workflow, schedules, and resource allocation

• Ensure production targets are met within set deadlines and quality standards

• Monitor and enforce quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process

• Investigate and resolve production and quality issues timeously

• Track, analyse, and report on production output, downtime, and delays

• Enforce strict safety protocols when working with fragile materials and heavy machinery

• Communicate effectively with factory teams, management, and cross-functional departments

• Delegate tasks efficiently and manage staff performance, discipline, and conflict resolution

• Work closely with maintenance teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment efficiency

• Generate daily and weekly production, attendance, and stock reports

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a glass and/or aluminium manufacturing environment

• In-depth knowledge of glass and aluminium processes including cutting, processing, polishing, assembling, and lamination

• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

• Sound understanding of factory machinery, equipment, and safety procedures

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment

• Proficiency in factory management systems and Microsoft Excel and Word
