Hands-On Organic / Permaculture Farm Practitioner – Full-Time
Boavida Organics is seeking a serious, hands-on individual to join our organic farming operation and help develop an integrated, closed-loop system.
This is a working farm, not a theory site.
Role Overview
You will work directly within an established organic system that includes:
- Raised-bed vegetable production
- Food forests and perennial systems
- Chickens, guinea fowl, broiler crosses
- Rabbits, pigs, goats
- Composting, worms, worm baths
- Livestock-soil-plant integration
The role requires daily physical work, practical problem-solving, and system thinking.
Requirements
- Practical understanding of permaculture and organic systems
- Comfort working with animals, soil, waste cycles, and infrastructure
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to think holistically and take initiative
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute
Formal qualifications are not essential.
Experience, mindset, and work ethic are.
