Silver Forest Boutique Hotel, a luxury boutique retreat nestled in the Helderberg, is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our dynamic team.Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist in overseeing all Food & Beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction at all times. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Managing day-to-day food and beverage service in the restaurant and bar

Running the restaurant independently when required, including covering the Food & Beverage Manager’s off days, leave, and public holidays

Assisting with the planning, organisation, and execution of events, functions, and weddings
-
Training, supervising, and motivating food and beverage staff
-
Ensuring service standards and hotel procedures are consistently met

Stock control, ordering, inventory management, and cost control
-
Assisting with menu planning and coordination with the kitchen team

Handling guest feedback and resolving service-related issues professionally

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations Requirements
-
Previous experience in a Food & Beverage supervisory or assistant management role

Proven ability to manage restaurant operations independently

Strong leadership and communication skills

Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities

Knowledge of food, beverages, and service standards

Experience with stock management and cost control
-
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
