Job Description:
Manage end-to-end payroll for 2,000+ employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements
Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Lead payroll system migrations and upgrades, while maintaining and optimizing platforms (Sage/VIP)
Ensure compliance with SARS regulations, tax codes, and labor legislation, including UIF, PAYE, and Workmans Compensation submissions
Compile payroll journals, ensure accurate allocation in the General Ledger, and support financial audits with variance analysis
Act as the primary liaison between HR and Finance, providing guidance on leave policies, benefits, and compensation structures
Skills & Experience:
10+ years in a senior payroll role
Proven ability to manage multiple payrolls in a high-volume environment
Strong compliance knowledge and experience
Leadership experience managing a small support team
Qualification:
Specialized Payroll Diplomas or Certifications
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management
South African Payroll Association (SAPA) Certification
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
