Duties & Responsibilities:
Implement and govern electrical and instrumentation maintenance strategies in alignment with production targets. Lead engineering governance and ensure compliance with legislative, technical, and industry standards. Provide technical support for both operations and project teams, including feasibility studies and design integrity checks. Benchmark and introduce innovative technologies and best practices across engineering functions. Manage and monitor contractors, vendors, and external providers to ensure delivery and safety compliance. Develop, lead, and support engineering-related improvement and optimisation initiatives. Engage with external energy suppliers and manage resource applications and allocations. Set goals, allocate tasks, and monitor performance of teams and contractors to ensure targets are met. Management of team: Identify skills gaps and manage training, development, and succession planning for team members. Compile and manage budgets, approve expenditures, monitor cost performance, and execute cost-saving initiatives.Qualifications & Experience:
Honours or 4-year Degree in Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 8) or minimum 3 year Degree in Electrical Engineering (NQF7) Professional Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer preferred Valid Drivers Licence required 68 years of experience in mining, heavy industry, or large-scale industrial projects Strong background in managing electrical and instrumentation systems, maintenance, and compliance Proven leadership and project coordination experience in multidisciplinary environments Skills & Competencies:
