About the Role
WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a tech-forward accounting firm to recruit a skilled Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a remote opportunity ideal for a qualified individual who thrives in a tech-savvy, dynamic environment. The role offers exposure to modern accounting tools and processes, while supporting small and medium-sized businesses with full-service bookkeeping, tax, and compliance support.
You’ll be responsible for financial reporting, tax returns, reconciliations, and client engagement—serving clients locally and internationally. The position requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and strong time management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage client deliverables via the firm’s internal project management tool
Prepare and reconcile trial balances, management reports, and financial statements
Perform income tax, provisional tax, and VAT calculations and submissions
Handle CIPC filings, queries, and compliance documentation
Liaise with clients, bookkeepers, and internal team members to ensure accurate, timely reporting
Review and manage cloud-based documentation using platforms like Xero, HubDoc, and Dext
Research and stay up to date with the latest accounting tools and automation
Coordinate payroll processing and compliance when required
