Job Description:Drive and support research initiatives focused on developing and testing structural materials. Perform laboratory investigations and material performance tests. Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate research outcomes into practical solutions. Mentor and guide junior engineers. Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in structural engineering, materials science or related work. Deep understanding of structural materials and behaviour, with proven hands-on lab and testing experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret and apply research data effectively. Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with a collaborative working style. A proactive approach to mentorship and professional development of junior engineering staff.
Qualification:
Masters degree (MEng/MSc) or PhD in Structural Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering essential.
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
