Key Responsibilities:Financial Control & Reporting
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP Plan and manage month-end and year-end processes, including journals and reconciliations Review and sign off all GL reconciliations prepared by the finance team Ensure timely submission of internal and external financial reports Prepare statutory returns and manage all SARS-related queries Maintain payments for claims and prepare ad-hoc management reports Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles and perform variance analysis Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and operational decisions Improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and transparency Governance, Risk & Compliance
Implement and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets Manage internal and external audits and ensure compliance with financial legislation Ensure adherence to Group financial controls and policies People Management & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team with clearly defined roles and performance objectives Ensure performance contracts, regular reviews, and development plans are in place Foster a high-performance, accountable, and engaged finance team Health & Safety
Participate in the design, implementation, and monitoring of departmental safety plans Attend safety forums and report, discuss, and follow up on safety incidents Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) Experience:
46 years post-qualification experience Minimum 4 years in a financial leadership / people management role Exposure to FinTech, SaaS or OEM environments advantageous Systems: Experience with accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite Skills:
Advanced Excel and strong MS Office / Google Workspace proficiency Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP, financial controls and statutory reporting Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines Leadership Attributes:
