A well-established company in the engineering and mining sector is seeking a driven, technically strong Senior Accountant to take charge of key financial and reporting functions. This role is ideal for a mature professional who enjoys working in a structured, fast-paced environment where accuracy, leadership, and strategic contribution are valued.Key Responsibilities:
- Full financial function oversight
- Monthly reporting, including management accounts
- Budgeting, forecasting & analysis
- People management: managing direct reports
- Implementing, monitoring & improving internal controls
- Ensuring financial accuracy & compliance
- Working with operational teams to support strategic decision-making
- Exposure to engineering and mining industry environments is beneficial
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Qualification: BCom + SAIPA preferred
- Experience: 3 years post-articles essential
- Industry: Engineering & Mining preferred
- Technical: Strong reporting, budgeting, forecasting & compliance experience
- Profile: Confident, detail-focused, and able to manage a team effectively
