Key ResponsibilitiesSales, Business Development & Key Account Management
Drive sales of marine lubricants, fuel performance products and new-generation lubrication technologies. Develop and execute sales strategies aligned to the companys marine industry growth plan. Manage and expand relationships with shipping lines, ship agents, bunker suppliers, port operators, and related stakeholders. Technical Expertise & Application Support
Provide technical product support to customerstroubleshooting, product selection, application advice and optimisation. Analyse operational conditions and recommend lubrication and fuel-conditioning solutions to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce energy footprint. Stay up to date with global developments in lubrication chemistry and marine fuel treatment. Portside & Logistics Coordination
Liaise with Transnet Port Terminals (Portnet), harbour service providers, and logistics teams to ensure smooth, rapid supply to vessels. Coordinate inventory availability, urgent callouts, and short-notice marine deliveries. Understand bunkering procedures, vessel arrival schedules, and port regulations affecting supply. Market & Customer Insights
Conduct regular market mapping and competitor tracking. Advise the Board and senior leadership on market conditions, emerging marine technologies, sustainability trends, and regulatory shifts. Provide accurate sales forecasting and contribute to budgeting. Prepare monthly sales reports, pipeline updates, and client performance summaries. Required Qualifications & Experience
Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field (advantageous). Minimum 58 years technical sales experience in the marine, lubrication, fuels, petrochemical or related industrial sector Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to all SA ports.
