Description:
Food Safety & Compliance: Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.Inventory Management: Supervise receiving, storage, and shipping of food items. Conduct regular inventory checks, reconciliations, and maintain accurate records.
Warehouse Organization: Ensure proper storage of dry, frozen, and refrigerated goods. Implement waste reduction and recycling plans.
Staff Supervision: Lead and direct warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
Operational Support: Manage daily operational metrics, monitor stock levels, and resolve issues related to deliveries and inventory.
Pest Control: Implement and maintain a comprehensive pest management program.
Reporting: Prepare and monitor reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Compliance Programs: Support food defense and security protocols, recall procedures, red tag systems, GMP policies, and audits
Matric
Minimum of 5 years in food handling, warehouse operations, or quality control. Supervisory experience preferred
Proficiency in inventory management systems, spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools
Experience with forklifts and other warehouse equipment
A Male candidate is preferred
Afrikaans is essential due to the client base
