Job Description:
As the Credit Controller, your duties and responsibilities include the following:
Manage tenant accounts end-to-end, including reconciliations, verifying accuracy, tracking deposits and adherence to payment plans
Maintain an up-to-date Tenant Age Analysis, monitor trading debt ratios, and provide meaningful commentary for reporting
Drive collections by meeting internal targets, resolving account queries promptly, and applying sound credit control practices
Conduct annual tenant profiling, assess risk, list high-risk accounts with credit bureaus, and implement actions to minimize bad debt
Collaborate with property management and finance to resolve issues
Engage on ageing reports and support legal processes when handing over accounts
Prepare accurate reports, monitor performance against business targets, and provide tenant risk assessments and debtor rankings
Maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement, professional service, and exploring recovery options
Skills & Experience:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in the property industry would be highly advantageous
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to deal with stakeholders both internally and externally
Qualification:
Credit Management Diploma or BCom degree in Accounting
