Description:
Job PurposeTo safely and efficiently operate a Code 14 truck with a drawbar trailer, ensuring timely and accurate delivery/collection of goods while maintaining compliance with road safety legislation, company policies, and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Code 14 truck with drawbar trailer for long-distance and/or local deliveries.
- Perform vehicle inspections (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip).
- Ensure correct coupling and uncoupling of the drawbar trailer.
- Secure loads in accordance with company and legal standards.
- Adhere strictly to road traffic regulations and company safety rules.
- Deliver and collect goods as per delivery schedule and instructions.
- Complete all relevant documentation accurately (PODs, trip sheets, logbooks).
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 14 (EC) Drivers Licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) Goods.
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience driving Code 14 vehicles.

- Ability to reverse, manoeuvre, and operate drawbar combination efficiently.
- Good communication and basic literacy/numeracy skills.
