Technical Skills:
Interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols. Perform MIG, TIG, Arc/Stick, and other welding processes independently. Execute welds to meet dimensional and strength requirements. Perform welding on various materials (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, etc.). Conduct post-weld finishing, grinding, and visual checks. Maintain and calibrate welding equipment. Quality:
Ensure welds comply with specifications and quality standards. Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing (if certified). If not, request inspections to be done. Document weld quality and maintain traceability where required. Safety:
Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 safety standards and company policies. Use correct PPE (welding helmet, gloves, protective clothing, safety boots). Follow safe practices for handling gases, cylinders, and welding equipment. Ensure welding areas are properly ventilated and fire-safe. Leadership & Soft Skills
Guide and support semi-skilled welders. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues. Work independently with accountability for quality and deadlines. Demonstrate professionalism and high attention to detail.
