Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for mechanical, welding, and fabrication projects. Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine material, labour, and time needs. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and evaluate cost competitiveness. Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with technical and operational requirements. Track project costs, identify variances, and support cost-control measures. Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems.Minimum Requirements
35 years estimating experience within welding, mechanical, and fabrication environments. Strong understanding of materials, processes, and production workflows in the engineering sector. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.Qualifications
NQF 6 in Engineering or Quantity Surveying. SACQSP registration advantageous.
