Belgium Campus iTversity is appointing an Academic Dean to contribute to the next phase of growth of a future-focused technology institution. This is a senior academic leadership role for an experienced Dean-level academic motivated to build coherence, momentum and academic depth in a rapidly evolving higher-education environment.
Reporting directly to the Academic Head, the Academic Dean holds institution-wide responsibility for the strategic leadership of teaching, learning and assessment. The role operates alongside the Research Coordinator, Academic Coordinator and Industry Coordinator, with complementary mandates that together ensure academic alignment, coherence and depth across the institution.
The Role
The Academic Dean provides academic leadership at institutional level and will:
· Lead teaching, learning and assessment across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
· Drive curriculum renewal aligned to an AI-infused world of work.
· Provide academic leadership on the responsible, rigorous integration of AI into teaching and assessment.
· Safeguard academic quality, standards and regulatory alignment.
· Mentor senior academics and emerging academic leaders.
· Represent the institution in academic and professional forums.
Requirements:
- Senior Academic Leadership: 4 to 5 years
The Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
· A doctoral qualification at NQF Level 10.
· Senior academic leadership experience (Dean, Deputy Dean, HoD or equivalent).
· A sustained and credible publication record.
· Recognised authority in teaching and learning leadership.
· Deep understanding of hybrid learning models and assessment integrity.
