KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTeam Leadership and supervision
Lead, supervise and support a team of technicians.
Allocate daily tasks, manage workloads and monitor performance.
Provide guidance, training and coaching to develop technical skills within the team.
Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures and service expectations.
Technical Expertise & Support
Provide advanced technical support and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
Assist with installations, repairs and system configurations when required (overflow or specialised tasks).
Conduct quality checks on completed jobs to ensure systems function correctly and meet client specifications.
Installation & Maintenance
Expert knowledge and hands-on capability in:
CCTV system installations, fault-finding, and maintenance.
Access control systems (installation, configuration, and upkeep).
Electric fencing installation and repairs.
Gate motors and related automation systems.
Off-site monitoring equipment and technologies.
Alarm systems and integration into security platforms.
Operational Coordination
Plan and manage schedules, site visits and project timelines.
Oversee stock levels, tools, and technical equipment requirements.
Ensure accurate completion of job cards, service reports and technical documentation.
Customer & Stakeholder Interaction
Engage professionally with clients on-site and remotely.
Communicate job progress, technical findings and recommendations effectively.
Resolve customer concerns and ensure high satisfaction levels.
Compliance & Safety
Enforce adherence to health, safety and regulatory requirements.
Identify and address risks, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
Ensure all work is completed according to legal, technical and industry standards.
Maintain a clean, organised and safety compliant storeroom environment at all times.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Technical Skills
Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, access control, alarms, electric fencing, and automation systems.
Proven leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
High attention to detail and quality control mindset.
Good IT skills, including creating email accounts, managing shared drives, and basic system administration.
Requirements:
Minimum requirements:Grade 12 / Matric.
Relevant technical certification (advantageous).
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in security system installations and maintenance.
Previous supervisory or team lead experience essential.
Clear criminal record
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
