  • Are you a dynamic and experienced Site Manager passionate about affordable housing and community development?

    We're seeking a dedicated professional to oversee a groundbreaking low-cost housing project in the Atlantis area of Cape Town.

    This is a key role in the Government's Breaking New Ground (BNG) program, aimed at delivering quality, sustainable homes to underserved communities and breaking cycles of poverty through innovative urban development.

About the Project
Project Focus: Construction of low-cost housing units under the BNG framework, promoting integrated, sustainable settlements with access to essential services.

Location:
Atlantis, Cape Town – a vibrant area with growing potential for community upliftment.
Employer: Government-backed initiative in partnership with leading construction firms committed to social impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to meet project timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee construction progress, material procurement, and resource allocation for efficient delivery.
  • Implement risk management strategies and resolve on-site issues promptly.
  • Liaise with government officials, community representatives, and regulatory bodies to align with BNG guidelines.
  • Monitor project milestones and report on performance metrics to ensure successful handover of housing units.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction, preferably in housing or infrastructure projects (minimum 5 years).
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (diploma/degree preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of South African building regulations, health & safety protocols, and sustainable construction practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on cost-efficiency and community engagement.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to be based in Atlantis.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in government-funded projects or low-cost housing initiatives.
