We have a client with an amazing opportunity based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Role: Site Agent / Building and Construction
Industry: Building & Civil Construction
Level: Experienced Professional
Key Requirements:
• BTech/B.Sc degree / Diploma in Building Science, Building Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• 5-10 years of experience in general building construction and civil works.
• SACPCMP Registration with a valid 2023 Certificate.
• Proficiency in project management, including estimating, planning, controlling costs, and project programming.
• Strong understanding of contracts (GCC/JBCC and NEC).
• Experience in quality control management, reviewing designs, and generating project plans.
• Competency in using Microsoft Suite and other Project Management software.
• Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Personal Attributes:
• Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate and integrate key staff, labourers, and sub-contractors.
• Proactive in managing human resources, cost, time, and quality on site.
• A keen eye for detail, particularly in reviewing drawings and site documentation.
• Strong communication and liaison skills for engaging with service providers and clients.
• Dedicated to ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
• A natural problem-solver, adept at dealing with variation orders and managing project updates.
• Customer-centric approach with strong engagement competency.
