Overview:
The Export Sales Representative is responsible for the overall growth and success of the company’s export sales and marketing efforts. The position is responsible for developing and executing export strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Business, International Business, or Marketing Minimum 5 years of experience in export sales and marketing Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales and marketing strategies Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans to grow export sales and market share Develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to drive sales and brand awareness Monitor and analyse market trends and competition to inform product development and pricing strategies Studying the market in the target country or countries Identifying new markets for exports and developing new business accounts Planning a sales campaign suited to that country and current consumer trends Planning and reviewing sales forecasts and potential new product ranges Meet regularly with existing and new clients to support and grow sales volume Provide leadership and guidance to the planning and logistics teams to ensure that customers receive their appropriate shipments Attend international tradeshows Knowledge of the export business to ensure that government policies, labelling systems, transportation and payment laws are followed, manage administration, such as orders and export documents Ensure compliance with all relevant export regulations and laws Respond promptly to customer complaints including solutions and troubleshooting to sort out any problems Prepare and deliver regular reports on export sales and marketing performance to senior management.
Conditions:
Long and irregular hours Office based, but travel regularly abroad May spend long periods away from home You will have to spend time developing and maintaining good contacts with clients, distributers, and suppliers
