Purpose of the Role
To provide efficient and accurate support to the sales team by preparing, processing, and managing quotations. The role ensures timely delivery of quotes, maintains strong client service standards, and assists with administrative functions that support the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quote preparation & processing
- Prepare and capture accurate and timely quotations based on client requests on company underwriting mandates, pricing and SLA’s.
- Ensure all product details, pricing, terms, and conditions are correctly captured.
- Follow internal approval workflows and referral process for quotes requiring additional automation.
- Update and maintain quote register and document filing on internal systems.
- Track quote activity, validity periods, and follow up dates.
- Support the sales team with general administrative tasks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the sales and underwriting team to ensure accurate quote content.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) essential
- Prior experience in sales support, quoting, or administration is advantages
- Experience in the insurance industry – preferred but not mandatory
- Strong computer literacy (Excel, Outlook, Internal systems)
- Ability to interpret pricing structures or products / service specifications
- High accuracy and attention to detail
Skills and Attributes :
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Strong organisational and time- management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Pro-active, reliable, and self-motivated
- Customer- service orientated mindset
- Internship or entry-level experience acceptable if supported by strong performance.
