ð PRODUCTION PLANT FOREMAN – Pretoria WestMy client in Pretoria West is seeking an experienced, organised and results-driven Production Plant Foreman to oversee and optimise daily manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will maintain high-quality production standards, ensure efficient resource utilisation, and lead a skilled workforce in a fast-paced environment.Minimum Requirements
- Matric (NSC)
- Extensive knowledge of SketchUp (will be tested)
- Previous experience managing 10 or more employees
Advantageous Experience
- Experience with laser cutting processes
- Previous experience working with sheet metal
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and direct daily production operations to consistently exceed customer expectations
- Improve production capacity, efficiency and flexibility while minimising waste and downtime
- Take full responsibility for production output, product quality and on-time delivery
- Allocate resources effectively and ensure full utilisation of plant assets
- Implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives
- Monitor plant operations and take corrective action when required
- Build and maintain a trusting and collaborative working relationship with the production team
- Collect and analyse operational data to identify inefficiencies and reduce waste
- Enforce company safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture
- Develop systems to track and optimise productivity and performance standards
- Address employee concerns and workplace issues promptly
- Ensure accurate recording and submission of attendance to HR
- Take disciplinary action where necessary, in line with company procedures
- Train, guide and support production employees
- Manage daily workflow, shift assignments and workload distribution
- Conduct constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of production processes, machinery and equipment
- Ensure products are correctly labelled, stored and handled
- Report equipment issues to maintenance and follow up until resolved
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations
- Complete all production documents and checklists accurately and ensure proper sign-off
