As the Senior Financial Accountant, youll take full ownership of the end-to-end accounting function, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and transparency across all financial processes. Youll play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity while supporting the organisations mission to make a differenceKey Responsibilities:
- Manage the full accounting function, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Oversee budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/GRAP) and NPO financial regulations.
- Support audits, liaising with External Auditors and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Implement and maintain effective financial controls and systems.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Completed BCom Accounting Degree
- SAIPA or SAICA articles completed
- Proven experience within the NPO sector
- Solid understanding of fund accounting, donor reporting, and NPO compliance
