Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Stock Controller to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels within their fast-paced operation. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent administrative skills, and the ability to ensure smooth stock flow from purchasing to dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control

Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure availability and prevent stockouts or overstocking.

Conduct regular physical stock counts, audits, and reconciliations.

Update and manage accurate stock records on the system, including receiving, dispatching, and adjustments.

Analyse sales trends and stock movement to forecast future inventory needs.
-
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.

Ensure stock quality, proper storage, and handling of damaged goods.
Purchasing & Receiving

Create, place, and follow up on purchase orders.
-
Verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and manage associated documentation.
-
Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and order confirmations.

Oversee the receiving and checking of all inbound and outbound deliveries.
Reporting & Administration

Prepare regular stock reports, including stock levels, movements, and valuation.
-
Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and related documentation.

Assist with budgeting by ensuring purchase orders stay within approved limits.

Process return-to-supplier requests, credit notes, and handle stock-related queries.
