Description:
The main purpose of the job:To provide essential support within the department. It ensures the smooth and efficient running of daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and support all workshop and spares teams nationally, ensuring clear role alignment, performance management, training, timekeeping, and discipline. Oversee technician performance, ensure adherence to procedures, monitor job cards and hours, manage service kits and spares usage, approve travel, and ensure vehicle maintenance. Maintain high service standards, address client complaints promptly, conduct spot checks, and engage key customers nationally to resolve issues and drive proactive maintenance improvements. Ensure accurate and available stock, oversee documentation and picking processes, manage stock takes, control excess/ageing stock, and process returns according to SOPs. Ensure timely job card processing, credit approvals, accurate inter-site transfers, daily tracking reports, courier reconciliations, proper binning, accurate reporting, and clearance of all system exceptions. Support cost-saving initiatives, maintain monthly budgets, meet annual financial targets, and ensure operational accuracy across all financial documentation.
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) Relevant post-matric technical qualification (preferably N4 or higher in Millwright, Engineering, or Automotive) Minimum of 5 years experience in Services, Sales, or Workshop Management Previous technical experience as a technician Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems Proven experience in stock control, administration, and workshop operations Computer literate with solid systems aptitude Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and cost management
