Our client in the Engineering sector is looking for a Maintenance Manager(GCC Factories) to join their team in Mpumalanga, Witbank.Requirements:
BSc, BEng, BTech, National Diploma or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) Factories Post graduate management qualification. 10+ Years experience the maintenance field in heavy industry. Practical experience in both the electrical and mechanical disciplines. Project management experience. Experience in WCM 5+ Years middle/departmental management experience in asset/maintenance management in heavy industry. Prior GMR 2.1/2.7 legal appointment, demonstrating good understanding of the OHSAct and its regulations, with 5+ years' experience holding such an appointment. Valid drivers license and own transport Computer literacy (MS Office Suite) Smelting Ferro experience Additional requirements:
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making. Experience in asset maintenance systems and strategies Good knowledge of maintenance principles and practices and experience in implementing systems and strategies for asset maintenance and planning Good knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical systems and root cause analysis. Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving problems and making decisions. Duties and Responsibilities:
Foster a safe and efficient working environment for all employees. Promote a culture of safety compliance across the organization. Integrate safety protocols into maintenance plans and execution. Maintain compliance with organizational and legal safety standards, ensuring timely statutory inspections. Verify that all equipment and machinery meet applicable health and safety regulations and standards. Advise superintendents and management on statutory requirements for their assets and support compliance efforts. Ensure contractors adhere to site regulations and legal safety requirements. Fulfill duties as a GMR 2.1 appointee. Collaborate with finance to develop and manage the maintenance budget, achieving cost efficiencies. Contribute to the 5-year capital expenditure plan. Optimize resources for maintenance execution. Implement systems for forward-looking maintenance cost forecasting to support annual budgets and monthly projections.
