Company and Job Description:An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a leading FMCG distribution centre. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all financial data and transactions are accurately captured, reconciled, and reported, producing quality trial balances and financial reports for the Distribution Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily reconciliation of bank account ledgers and cash-ups
- Weekly reconciliation of supplier accounts
- Maintenance of general ledger accounts
- Daily balancing and reporting of sales
- Completion of accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations for month-end reporting
- Capturing and reviewing of journal entries
- Supervision of the store administration team
- Management and control of document management systems
- Maintenance of fixed asset registers
- Support and participation in ad hoc finance projects
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Matric
Completed Diploma or Degree in Finance
Intermediate Excel skills
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a stock environment
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Organised, dependable, and deadline-driven
