ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK: FRK (EVALUATE 6 / 5 MONTH FIXED – TERM CONTRACT)

Description:

Casidra seeks to recruit an Administrative Clerk who is proficient and skilled in providing administrative support within the Programme. The FRK Programme is an initiative of the Western Cape Department of Agriculture to assist emerging farmers with accurate and effective financial record-keeping.

This is a fixed-term contract to provide backfill due to a maternity-leave acting arrangement.

The successful candidate will report to the Project Manager responsible for the FRK Programme.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide professional sectoral and administrative support
  • Diary management
  • Coordinate all incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Maintain accurate administration and record-keeping
  • Minute-taking of Departmental and Stakeholder meetings
  • Draft and prepare reports, correspondence and related documentation

Requirements:

  • Minute-taking of Departmental and Stakeholder meetings
  • Draft and prepare reports, correspondence and related documentation
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Office Administration or a relevant administration qualification
  • Certificate in Bookkeeping would be advantageous
  • At least 2 years’ experience as an Office Administrator
  • Experience providing administrative support within an accounting or bookkeeping environment would be advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficient in English and Afrikaans (Proficiency in Xhosa or another South African language would be advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Office Administration or a relevant administration qualification
  • Certificate in Bookkeeping would be advantageous
  • At least 2 years’ experience as an Office Administrator
  • Experience providing administrative support within an accounting or bookkeeping environment would be advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Valid driver’s licence

Skills: Effective communication, presentation, organisational skills and computer skills.

Salary : R 17 613.00 (TCOE) per month

Contract duration: 5 - Month Fixed – term contract: Maternity Cover
