Are you a driven B2B sales hunter with a proven track record of winning new business in the technology sector? My client is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager - New Business to champion growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities in ICT solutions.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with 5+ years of consultative sales experience, exceptional prospecting skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. You'll join an ambitious team based in Sunninghill and/or Kempton Park , with the opportunity to make a direct impact on revenue growth.
Job Purpose:
Drive revenue growth by proactively identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities in ICT products and services. Utilize consultative, solution-based sales techniques to address client needs and deliver value. Build and manage strong initial client relationships, ensuring a seamless transition to the Customer Success team for ongoing account management and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively generate new business through ICT solution-based selling to company-provided leads, referrals, and self-sourced prospects
- Research and evaluate potential clients, industries, and market segments to identify and qualify opportunities
- Build and manage a robust pipeline by establishing contact, developing relationships, presenting tailored solutions, and closing deals
- Ensure smooth client onboarding by maintaining initial relationships and coordinating transition to the Customer Success team
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to position solutions effectively
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive CRM records to support forecasting and reporting
- Continuously develop professional and technical expertise through workshops, publications, networking, and best practice adoption
- Consistently achieve and exceed performance metrics, including client contacts, conversion rates, and revenue targets
Qualifications / Skills:
- Relevant certification or qualification in business, sales, or ICT-related field
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers
- Proven ability to build and manage client relationships during the early sales lifecycle
- High energy, resilience, and self-motivation with a hunter mindset
- Advanced negotiation and closing skills, with a track record of exceeding sales targets
- Expertise in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline development
- Creative problem-solving and solution-oriented thinking to address client needs
- Strategic sales planning and disciplined execution
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
- Proficiency in CRM systems for accurate pipeline, forecasting, and client data management - Experience working with Monday a bonus
- Sales related financial acumen, including understanding of margins, markups, and repayment terms with interest
Key Performance Areas:

- Revenue Targets: Achieve agreed quarterly new business revenue targets as set by the company
- Proposal to Closing Ratio: Maintain an agreed minimum closing ratio on submitted proposals
- Response Times: Respond to RFPs within 2 business days on average
- Accuracy Rate: Ensure an agreed alignment between proposals and successful implementation
- Customer Satisfaction: Achieve an agreed minimum customer satisfaction score during onboarding
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid and outbound Working conditions in line with Basic Conditions of Employment act
Physical Requirements:
- This job will require your own reliable transport to and from their offices in Sunninghill and Kempton Park and customer sites
Remuneration:
- R300k - R400k CTC+ competitive commission, subject to experience, skills and qualifications
- Re-Imbursed travel at SARS deemed rates
