Our client, a Durban-based company, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to work remotely from the Western Cape. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual with a proven track record in B2B sales, excellent communication and technical understanding, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will be based in the Western Cape, hold a valid South African driver’s license with their own vehicle, and be computer literate (Excel, Word; CRM experience beneficial). REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum: Matric (Grade 12).
- Preferred: Technical/Mechanical qualification or proven experience in a technical sales role.
- Additional certifications (e.g., Safety, DG training) are beneficial.
Essential:
- Strong sales ability with a proven track record in B2B sales.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts.
- Strong time management and self-discipline.
- Valid South African driver’s license and own vehicle.

DUTIES:
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and engage new clients across key sectors, including property management groups, hospitals, data centers, retail groups, municipalities, generator installers, and industrial clients.
- Generate qualified leads through cold-calling, site visits, networking, and target market outreach.
- Achieve monthly sales targets as outlined in the commission and performance structure.
- Conduct diesel sample extractions (training will be provided) to support sales proposals and risk profiles.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients at technical, operational, and management levels.
- Provide clients with technical guidance related to diesel contamination, fuel management, and SANS 342 compliance.
- Maintain a schedule of follow-ups for all active prospects and accounts.
Quotations, Proposals & Reporting:
- Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and sample report summaries.
- Present technical findings to clients and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM pipeline with detailed notes, probability ratings, and follow-up actions.
- Submit weekly sales reports, including leads, conversions, closed deals, and pipeline status.
Technical Competence (Training Provided):
- Understand diesel fuel contamination, water ingress, microbial growth, sludge formation, and fuel remediation techniques.
- Understand DDS’s tank cleaning processes, mobile filtration systems, and safe operating procedures.
- Understand relevant codes (SANS 342, SANS 10089, SANS 10131) as they relate to tank installations and fuel system compliance.
Operational Support:
- Coordinate with service crews for scheduling jobs.
- Assist with site meetings, snag lists, and client handovers where required.
- Monday to Friday: Fully Remote
