A reputable and well-established 4-star ethical hunting lodge in Bela Bela is seeking a professional and experienced Management Couple to oversee the combined operations of the farm and lodge. This role requires two highly competent individuals who work well together, have strong operational abilities, and are committed to maintaining the standards and values of an ethical, guest-focused establishment.Role OverviewThe successful couple will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the lodge, guest services, events coordination, and the general operation of the farm. This is a live-in position that requires a hands-on approach, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency.Position 1: Farm & Operations Manager (Partner 1)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all daily farm operations, including livestock management, maintenance, and general farm work.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily tasks to ensure smooth farm functioning.
- Manage farm staff, allocate duties, and monitor performance and productivity.
- Ensure proper upkeep of farm infrastructure, equipment, fencing, vehicles, and water systems.
- Implement and maintain health, safety, and compliance standards.
- Support lodge operations where required, especially during peak periods or major events.
- Contribute to environmental and sustainability practices aligned with ethical hunting and conservation values.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in farm management and operational planning.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to perform hands-on tasks and guide others.
- Knowledge of game farm or wildlife estate operations will be advantageous.
- Ability to problem-solve effectively and work under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to live on-site.
Position 2: Lodge, Events & Administration Manager (Partner 2)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage lodge operations, including guest relations, front-of-house, booking systems, and administration.
- Oversee housekeeping, stock control, procurement, and general hospitality standards.
- Coordinate and manage events, including hunting groups, functions, and lodge activities.
- Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, reports, and administrative records.
- Manage social communication, guest inquiries, and reservations professionally and timeously.
- Support marketing activities where required, including event planning and lodge promotions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in lodge management or hospitality administration.
- Strong organizational, communication, and event coordination skills.
- High level of professionalism, guest-service orientation, and attention to detail.
- Competence in administrative work, including invoicing, bookings, and hospitality systems.
- Previous experience in a lodge, camp, or hospitality establishment is essential.
