The development of the Kamoa-Kakula copper mining complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC), the Platreef palladium-rhodium-platinum-nickel-copper-gold discovery in South Africa, the extensive redevelopment and upgrading of the historic Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver mine, also in the Democratic Republic of Congo and exploration on the Western Foreland, near Kamoa-Kakula.

This role leads the ERP Distribution Module and External Portal work for Ivanhoe Mines SA. The role includes management of distribution related projects, oversight on support, improvements, confirming business requirements, visits to operations and guidance to reporting team members.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- High school certification or Matric
- Tertiary qualification
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in ERP projects and consulting with knowledge and experience in distribution module functions and portals.
- A working understanding of computer systems is essential with substantial experience on JDE implementations with a track record of maintenance and support
Advantageous skills:
- JDE Certification
- Advanced distribution functional knowledge on ERP systems
- In-depth knowledge of JD Edwards Distribution and related systems
- Knowledge of reporting tools, JD Edwards Orchestrator
- Knowledge of scanning, barcoding, plug-in applications in the logistics supply chain
Technical Skills should include:
- Strong JD Edwards (JDE) project, functional and supporting skills
- Possess a strong drive for service excellence
- Able to identify, troubleshoot and solve problems
- Flexible but methodical and thorough approach for reconciliations and balancing
- Good organizational and analytical skills, process oriented
- Good understanding of end-to-end processes in the capital asset management environment, including equipment, work orders, parts, routines and connected devices
- To maintain system tables and data critical to the planned maintenance system applications
- Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
- Good knowledge of JDE security
Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
- Analyse, confirm and document business requirements.
- Lead projects and support work to provide functionality that meets business requirements.
- Conduct site coordination on project and support matters to the operation as identified from time to time, most likely to be allocated on rotational basis.
- Provide management overviews including KPI dashboard reporting at operations.
- Initiate and complete improvement projects related to the Distribution module and Portals.
- Visit operations to confirm project matters, develop personal relationships, experience requirements first hand, discuss matters with the responsible people, and monitor the progress of our work.
- Provide guidance and enable development for team members reporting to this role.
- Follow external application development work to identify opportunities.
- Actively monitor the support service progress in Smartsheet related to this ERP module.
- Provide monthly reporting on the module projects and support statistics.
- Work with the ERP Developer to establish improved applications.
- Work with the ERP Strategic Project Specialist on joint projects.
- Assist the Project Coordinator where required.
- Obtain monthly feedback from operational users.
- Run the portals programme including supplier functionality and integration to ERP.
- Develop training material for the appropriate module and provide system training to users.
- Reach out to distribution personnel to integrate related systems to their functions.
- Conduct team stand-by tasks on a rotational basis where appropriate, in case of after-hours work.
Able to do adhoc travelling.
