Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales / Solutions Engineer to join our Precision HVAC team. The ideal candidate will partner closely with the Sales Manager to source, engage, and follow up with prospective clients, as well as service our existing client base. You will be responsible for understanding client project needs and proposing tailored solutions that leverage our products and technological capabilities. The role requires the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Engagement:

Respond to external enquiries, introductions, and requests for product information.
Conduct product presentations, proposals, and project requirement assessments.
Recommend solutions based on client needs and technological capabilities.
Follow up on proposals and quotations to progress sales opportunities.
Support administration for quotation facilitation and client relationship management.

Quotation & Proposal Management:

Assess client requirements for product identification, selection, costing, and proposal formulation.
Prepare and negotiate quotations while keeping budget and target objectives in mind.
Provide feedback on quotation and proposal performance to management on a bi-weekly basis.
Collect, review, and submit tenders; ensure all tender requirements and documentation are complete.
Facilitate tender proposals, track progress, and report to management monthly.

Project & Technical Support:

Facilitate project orders, assisting clients with product specifications and requirements.
Attend site meetings and oversee installation, commissioning, and finalization of projects.
Provide feedback on client requirements and competitor products to inform strategic product and service offerings.
Support internal staff, technical administration, and management as required.

Operational Oversight:

Maintain knowledge of order and shipping processes to provide accurate updates to clients and project managers.
Collaborate with management to develop programs to achieve sales targets and budgets.

Requirements:

Key Requirements:

Industry experience in HVAC or a Mechanical Engineering degree specializing in thermodynamics.
Strong technical understanding of HVAC equipment and applications.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients.
Previous experience in sales or solutions engineering is advantageous.
PC literate: Microsoft Office 365, OneDrive, and other relevant software.
Valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Compliance Requirements:

Clear criminal record (subject to consent for background check).
Valid medical certification.
