Description:
A well-established precast manufacturing operation is seeking a dynamic and driven Factory Foreman to oversee production at their Hollowcore Precast division. The plant is located just outside Durbanville This role reports directly to the Factory Manager and requires an energetic, hands-on leader capable of running an 18-hour operational facility with a staff complement of approximately 50 employees, operating 6 days per week.ð§ Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor factory operations to ensure productivity, quality, and safety
- Oversee planning, casting, and lane stripping
- Ensure supervisors, operators, and labourers understand and execute their daily tasks
- Ensure deliveries are dispatched on time
- Attend to line performance issues, identify bottlenecks, and address breakdowns
- Perform daily line walks to monitor process control and ensure checklists are accurately completed
- Ensure machinery is cleaned and inspected at the start and end of each shift
- Report maintenance issues immediately and assist during breakdowns
âï¸ Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in a similar role or as a construction foreman
- Strong knowledge of concrete, formwork, reinforcing steel, and pre-tension steel
- Preferably experienced with mechanical equipment such as batch plants, saw-cutting machines, hydraulic jacks, and overhead cranes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly deadline-driven with strong adherence to production schedules
- Ability to work accurately under pressure

- R 30 000.00 to R 35 000.00
- Provident fund membership after a 3-month probation period
- Annual shutdown during December/January (builder’s holiday)

– Friday: Until 15:00
