Description:
As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to aerodynamic design and analysis of rocket systems and high-speed vehicles, support the development of numerical solvers for flight and internal ballistic simulations and collaborate on multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
What Youll Do:
Work on aerodynamic design and analysis of rocket systems and other high-speed vehicles. Help maintain and develop in-house numerical solvers for flight and internal ballistic simulations. Collaborate with other departments on multi-disciplinary engineering projects. Prepare and contribute to design and project reports. Support system-level testing locally and at client sites abroad. Assist with system engineering, project management, and quality assurance. Work with clients and suppliers. Learn and grow while tackling real-world engineering challenges in propulsion and thermofluids .Who You Are:
BSc Mechanical Engineering (M. Eng preferred) or equivalent. 03 years experience in aerospace, rocket systems or high-speed vehicle design (graduates welcome). Exceptional graduates with strong marks in Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics and Mathematics. Deans/Merit graduates are encouraged to apply. Exposure to CFD modelling (ANSYS preferred) and/or programming (Python, C) is a plus. Comfortable working with large datasets and simulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Fluent in English; Afrikaans is an advantage. Eager to learn, hands-on and ready to tackle challenging engineering problems. Excited to be part of a small, skilled team where you can contribute and grow.Extra Advantages:
Experience in aerodynamic modelling, flight simulation or wind tunnel testing. Experience with instrumentation, testing or CAD modelling . Why Apply:
Work in a team that values innovation, precision and personal growth. Gain real-world aerospace experience, work on challenging projects and build your career from the ground up.
