Minimum requirements
- NQF Level 6 in Finance or Human Resources
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll management
- Understanding and application of the PFMA & Treasury Regulations
Duties and Responsibilities
- Capture and submit monthly payroll changes and adjustments for review.
- Prepare and submit reconciliation of monthly salary payments for review.
- Prepare and submit the subsistence and travel (S&T) claims, including third-party payments
- Prepare and submit the reconciliation of Leave monthly.
- Reconciliation of month-end payroll accounts (salaries, S&T, leave etc).
- Generate and distribute monthly employee payslips and employees' IRP5 certificates.
- Advise employees on TAX, medical aid, and pension-related matters.
- Prepare and submit month-end reports as per requirements.
- Administer employee payroll records and ensure safekeeping.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Knowledge and use of Payroll Software Packages (SAGE 300 People a must).
- Knowledge and use of SAGE 300 (Accpac)
- Knowledge and use of SARS E-filing and Easyfile employer portals.
- Attention to detail
- MS Word and MS Excel
- Effective Communication
- Report writing and financial data analysis
- Ability to work under pressure
- Lateral thinking
- Time Management
