About the role
As the Proposal Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the creation of high-quality, client-focused sales proposals and presentations for our Transaction Banking Sales teams. This is a pivotal, high-visibility role that blends project management, content strategy, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver winning proposals that make a real impact.
Key responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end proposal process: from evaluation and kick-off to final submission
• Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring timely and compliant delivery
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Pricing teams to craft compelling responses
• Customize and enhance content from our proposal library to align with RFP requirements and win themes
• Identify information gaps and proactively gather insights across the business
• Proofread and polish proposals for clarity, grammar, formatting, and brand alignment
• Maintain and improve proposal tools, templates, and content databases
• Coach internal teams on proposal best practices and storytelling techniques
Key skills
• Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across departments
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellence
Key experience and qualifications
8 - 10 years' Proven experience managing complex proposals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Familiarity with Transaction Banking products and services is a plus
Matric and relevant diploma
