Description:
1. Financial Reporting
Prepare accurate financial reports. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and accounting standards. Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors. Analyse financial trends and make recommendations for improvement.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting
Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Monitor performance against budgets and provide actionable insights to senior management. Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies.
3. Cash Flow and Risk Management
Oversee cash flow management to ensure the companys liquidity needs are met. Identify potential financial risks and propose mitigation strategies. Manage investments, financing activities and debt management.
4. Financial Strategy
Contribute to the development of the companys long term financial strategies. Analyse financial performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth. Support decision making with financial data and analysis for new business ventures or product launches.
5. Team Leadership and Development
Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals. Develop team skills and improve processes to enhance efficiency. Ensure the team meets key performance indicators (KPIs) and department goals.
6. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and reporting standards. Stay updated on changes to financial regulations, tax laws and accounting standards.
7. Collaboration with other departments
Work closely with different departments to understand financial implications of their decisions. Provide financial analysis and advice to support business initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
+5 years FMCG experience 2 years of experience in financial management, accounting or related areas. Relevant tertiary qualification. Strong understanding of financial systems, reporting tools, and Syspro. In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting techniques. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Financial Software. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
