1. Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the mine, promoting a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.Ensure compliance with local mining regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to minimize risks and incidents.
2. Operational Management:
- Oversee all aspects of mining operations, including drilling, blasting, hauling, and processing activities, to achieve production targets within budget and timeline.Optimize mine planning, scheduling, and sequencing to maximize resource utilization and productivity.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production, efficiency, and cost performance, and take corrective actions as necessary.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of mining professionals, including supervisors, engineers, geologists, and operators.Foster a positive work culture that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and personal growth.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify development opportunities for team members.
4. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the mine's annual operating and capital budgets.
- Monitor production costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement effective cost control measures.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of services.
- Represent the mine in meetings, negotiations, and public forums as required.

- In-depth knowledge of relevant mining laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
