Role Purpose

The Sales Consultant is responsible for converting qualified leads into successful sales through effective communication, product knowledge, and relationship management. This role focuses on conducting client consultations, generating accurate quotes, and delivering exceptional customer service to achieve individual and team sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Conversion
• Conduct sales calls to potential clients from leads provided by the bond origination business.
• Present and explain suitable insurance product options, tailoring solutions to client needs.
• Generate and manage quotes, follow up, and convert leads into confirmed sales.

Customer Relationship Management
• Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients.
• Manage client queries promptly and professionally, ensuring a seamless service experience.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and sales information on the CRM system.

Sales Performance
• Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets in a high-volume, target-driven environment.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager and colleagues to achieve broader sales objectives.

Compliance
• Ensure all sales activities comply with FSCA and FAIS regulations, as well as internal company policies.
• Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory updates, and product developments.

Requirements:

  • Insurance Sales: 2 to 3 years

Role Requirements

Qualifications
• Matric Certificate (essential).
• RE5 qualification and FAIS compliance (e.g., NQF5 in Wealth Management) are mandatory.
• Relevant certifications or training in sales or insurance will be advantageous.

Experience
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience achieving targets in a high-volume, target-driven call centre environment.
• Previous experience in the insurance or financial services industry preferred.

Skills & Attributes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and sales closing ability.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional, ethical, and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Results-oriented, adaptable, and resilient under pressure.
