Description:
We are looking for a Skilled Floor Supervisor to help us create an awesome customer experience and keep things in good order. You will supervise the staff during your shift and make sure that they complete their tasks and are motivated to work effectively.
THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of the Floor Supervisor is to control inventory in their department to meet set targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage Departmental targets and profitability.
· Manage Stock, ensuring products are neatly labelled and displayed to promote sales.
· Supervise, evaluate, train and schedule work of floor personnel.
· Be responsible for stock counts.
· To manage the Gross Profit of the department including wastage.
· Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and following the rules of health and safety.
· Understanding all aspects of the business both back and front of house.
· Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
· Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary.
· Assign duties to employees and oversee their progress
· Performance appraisals and performance management of floor personnel.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
· Train and integrate new employees
· Provide guidance and feedback to employees when needed
· Resolve conflicts between employees
· Assist Management with employee shifts and time-off requests
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
· A Matric Certificate
· At least 3 years’ experience within Retail
· A clear criminal record
· High level of energy with strong customer service skills
· Have a high level of integrity
· Have strong problem-solving skills
· Working well within a team
· Ability to multitask
· Leadership and conflict-management skills
· Be able to work under pressure
· Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints
· Prepared to work night shift and long hours
· The ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as standing up for long hours and lifting heavy loads occasionally
