An exclusive 5-star game lodge in the heart of the Eastern Cape is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Duty Manager to join their dynamic hospitality team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a luxury lodge environment, enjoys guest interaction, and takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence.About the Role:The Senior Duty Manager will be responsible for overseeing all key departments, including Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Guest Relations, ensuring seamless coordination between teams and a consistently exceptional guest experience. You’ll act as the go-to person for daily operations, assist in staff training and development, and support management in maintaining the lodge’s reputation for world-class service. Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate all operational departments on a daily basis
- Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards and resolving issues promptly
- Lead by example and provide hands-on support across departments when needed
- Work closely with the General Manager and department heads to ensure smooth lodge operations
- Assist with staff training, motivation, and performance management
- Oversee lodge logistics, guest check-ins/outs, and ensure a flawless guest journey from arrival to departure
- Minimum 3–5 years of lodge management experience in a luxury 5-star property
- Strong background in hospitality operations with a focus on guest service excellence
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Well-presented, professional, and attentive to detail
- Passionate about the bush and committed to creating unforgettable guest experiences
- Preferably a hospitality diploma or relevant qualification
