The Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with strategic corporate clients within the car rental industry. The role focuses on ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership development while identifying opportunities for revenue growth and enhanced service delivery.Experience within the car rental industry is essential and non-negotiable.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Manage and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key corporate and travel clients.
Act as the primary point of contact for all client communication, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and service concerns.
Conduct regular client reviews to ensure alignment with business objectives and satisfaction with service levels.
Sales and Revenue Growth
Identify and pursue opportunities to increase account revenue through upselling and cross-selling.
Negotiate contract renewals, pricing, and service agreements within company guidelines.
Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics.
Account Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement strategic account plans to maximize growth and profitability.
Analyse client trends, rental patterns, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities.
Collaborate with operations and fleet management teams to ensure client requirements are met effectively.
Reporting and Analysis
Prepare detailed sales and account performance reports for management.
Track KPIs, revenue, and profitability for each account.
Provide insights and recommendations based on client data and market intelligence.
Collaboration and Coordination
Work closely with the National Sales Manager and marketing teams to align sales strategies with company objectives.
Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless client service delivery.
Participate in tenders, proposals, and contract presentations.
Requirements:
Key RequirementsMinimum of 5–7 years’ experience in key account management or corporate sales within the car rental industry (non-negotiable).
Proven success in managing large corporate accounts and achieving revenue growth targets.
Strong understanding of fleet management, rental operations, and pricing structures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Customer-focused with a commitment to service excellence.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationally.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or related field preferred.
