Logistics Manager

Description:

Our client, a wine estate situated in Stellenbosch, currently has the abovementioned position available for an experienced professional in wine logistics and exports. The ideal candidate is has a solid understanding of systems such as SAWIS, SARS, and Wine Online. This leadership role includes managerial responsibilities, overseeing a Warehouse Manager as well as junior warehouse and office staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Export sales logistics: Manage export orders & documentation; Administer Wine Online & EURO 1 filings; Oversee client portal & freight coordination; Handle invoicing & customer updates. *Local sales logistics: Process orders & liaise with distributors; Manage invoicing & delivery communication. *Warehouse oversight: Conduct stocktakes & reconciliations; Administer Pastel & Chep systems; Order dry goods & allocate stock; Supervise warehouse staff. *Company internal logistics: Plan daily delivery routes; Prepare delivery documents. *Administrative responsibilities: Coordinate training, WIETA medicals & supplies; Manage SARS & SAWIS admin; Place orders & schedule vehicle services. *Maintenance: Support maintenance coordination & quotes; Manage service reminders. *Managerial responsibilities for subordinates: Oversee leave, planning & attendance records.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Diploma/Degree in Logistics and/or Supply Chain;
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience, including a proven track record in the wine industry;
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office);
• Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans, verbal and written competency);
• A valid driver’s license.
