Description:
MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Overview: To manage the maintenance department by managing all facilities and utilities (production, warehousing, buildings, etc.) through planned and breakdown management plus project management whilst maintaining the budget.
Duties:
Ensure the department operates in accordance with Environmental and HS Legislation at all times
Conduct monthly inspections and compile an ongoing preventative maintenance check list.
Participate in production meetings to ensure smooth running operations
Manage maintenance employees ensuring effective deployment of a motivated and responsible team
Manage maintenance plan and coordinate maintenance activities daily
Manage breakdowns and emergencies
Manage department budget through daily expense control, motivation and implementation
Build and maintain relationships with approved contractors and service providers, ensuring critical resources are maintained effectively
Comply with ISO accreditation requirements by ensuring respective ISO standards are always met.
Ensure that all tools and maintenance equipment is properly maintained and available for use.
Ensure excellent communication between maintenance and other departments.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical / Electrical (B.Eng. or B. Tech) or qualified Millwright
GCC Factories advantageous
Be comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing and ISO accredited environment
Focused and detail orientated
At least 5-6 years managerial experience.
Good Administrative skills, with an excellent understanding of project costing, expense control and budgets
Good knowledge of MS Office packages
Full understanding of OHS act and all legal requirements
ISO standard knowledge
Good communication skills
Team Player
Must have a valid Code 8 drivers license, with own reliable transport
Remuneration:
Negotiable up to R900k CTC
