We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef Events to support the planning, preparation, and execution of all culinary aspects for events, conferences, and banquets at the hotel. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality food production, efficient kitchen operations, and exceptional guest experiences for all events.Critical Criteria (Requirements)
Minimum 35 years experience in a Sous Chef role, preferably with a focus on events or banqueting in 4/5-star hotels or luxury resorts Proven experience in supervising kitchen teams and managing high-volume event operations Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene standards Culinary qualification or diploma advantageous Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure, fast-paced environments South African citizen with a valid ID Key Competencies ð??¹ Guest-Centric Culinary Excellence Ensures all event cuisine meets luxury hospitality standards

Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in planning and preparing menus for events and banquets Supervise kitchen operations during events, ensuring timely and high-quality food production Manage and coach junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and culinary standards Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control across all events Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations Collaborate with Events and F&B teams
