How you'll role

As the Warehouse Team Lead, you will take charge of the Cape Town, South Africa warehouse team, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with company standards. Your leadership will be vital in optimizing processes, managing inventory, and improving workflows. Your collaboration with the Branch Manager will drive continuous improvements in the warehouse environment, fostering a culture of safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

What you'll do

• Lead, supervise, and motivate the warehouse team to ensure smooth daily operations

• Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing, dispatching, and delivery processes

• Ensure strict adherence to company processes, procedures, and safety standards

• Maintain accurate inventory control through cycle counts, stock checks, and process compliance

• Ensure all stock is stored in the correct locations and the warehouse is kept organised, safe, and clean

• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to identify and implement improvements in warehouse layout, workflow, and efficiency

• Monitor and manage team performance, providing training and guidance where needed

• Coordinate and optimise daily driver routing and delivery scheduling

• Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and vehicles, reporting issues promptly

• Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders including the branch sales team, head office, and other branches

• Handle warehouse administration, reporting, and documentation accurately and on time

What you'll need

• 4+ years' experience in warehouse supervision or operations management

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team

• Excellent knowledge of warehouse processes, stock control, and health & safety compliance

• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills

• Strong problem-solving and workflow improvement mindset

• Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams

• Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse systems (ERP/WMS experience advantageous)

• 4+ years' experience in warehouse supervision or operations management
