A new opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified and experienced HR Professional with a passion for people and a solid understanding of HR processes.

This role is based at Head Office in Cape Town and will involve both strategic and operational HR responsibilities, as well as regular store visits across Cape town.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full HR function including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and development, employee relations, compliance, and engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR-related issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes (incl. CCMA representation).
  • Manage and update HR policies and ensure compliance with labour legislation and statutory submissions (EE, Skills, etc.).
  • Drive initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture, effective communication, and leadership development.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate workshops on compliance, health & safety, and leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ HR experience, preferably as a Generalist, with at least 4 years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • Relevant qualification: Degree or National Diploma in HR Management.
  • Experience in the retail industry will be advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA, OHSA, COID, POPIA, PAIA, CCMA processes).
  • Strong balance of leadership and hands-on execution.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong administrative ability and attention to detail.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
