A global company operating in the mining, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors is seeking a Senior Electronic Engineer to join their company.
Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or related field).
-
7+ years of experience in electronic system design and development (preferably in heavy industry, mining, or automation).
-
Strong knowledge of embedded systems, PCB design, circuit simulation, and power electronics.
-
Proficiency with CAD/EDA tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, or similar).
-
Experience with sensors, control systems, and communication protocols (CANbus, Modbus, Ethernet, etc.).
-
Knowledge of automation, robotics, and digital/IoT solutions is highly advantageous.
-
Familiarity with safety standards, EMC/EMI compliance, and ruggedised system design.
-
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
-
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders.
-
Willingness to travel to mining sites when required.
Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test advanced electronic systems for mining and infrastructure equipment.
-
Lead electronic engineering projects from concept through to production and deployment.
-
Work with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, and automation engineers) to integrate solutions.
-
Develop and maintain documentation, including specifications, schematics, and test procedures.
-
Oversee prototyping, validation, and field testing of electronic systems.
-
Drive innovation in automation, digitalisation, and electrification of Epiroc equipment.
-
Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and industry standards.
-
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior engineers.
-
Collaborate with service teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
-
Contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
