PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The SHREQ Training Practitioner will ensure that Foskor Acid Division has the best SHREQ training programs in place for employees to achieve a high level of SHREQ and compliance in the chemical industry. To ensure benchmarked training practices and programs are sourced and implemented and are in line with legislative requirements.
QUALIFICATION(S) & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Qualifications:
· Diploma in Safety Management / Occupational Health / Chemical Engineering / Environmental Management.
· Assessor, Facilitator and Moderator Certificates.
· Driver’s License Code B.
Experience :
· 3-5 years supervisory experience in training and development environment.
· 3-5 years Petrochemical/chemical operations and technical experience.
· Proven experience as SHREQ Training Practitioner.
· Proven experience in operations/technical/engineering at Chemical/Petrochemical sector
· Strong Knowledge of Safety, health, Environment, Risk, Quality, Process Safety and regulations and standards.
· Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively deliver training to individuals at all levels.
· Sound understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyse data and identify trends.
Ideal Requirements:
Qualifications: (Same as minimum plus the following)
Ideal:
· Degree in Safety Management / Occupational Health / Chemical Engineering / Environmental Management
· Completion of the following SHEQ training.
· Certificate in Radiation Protection Monitoring
· General Safety, Health & Environmental Training. (GHSTC)
· HIRA (Risk Analysis)
· SHEQ COP Basic Course
· Environmental – Occupational Hygiene.
· Environmental Awareness.
· Quality Awareness.
· Hazmat technician
HEADLINE KEY RESULT AREAS
- Develop and implement facility wide SHREQ & PSM training Matrix, programs, and initiatives to ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough SHREQ & PSM training needs analysis and identify areas for improvement in SHREQ & PSM training materials and programs.
- Conduct intensive inductions for the organization.
- Coordinate and facilitate SHREQ & PSM training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring that all SHREQ training is delivered effectively and in line with industry standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the SHREQ training needs of various departments are met.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in SHREQ training methodologies and technologies.
- Act as a subject matter expert in SHREQ & PSM training providing guidance and support to employee as needed.
- Develop, coordinate and maintain the site annual SHREQ & PSM schedule.
- Develop, review and implement effective training tools, materials, visual aids, and methods in collaboration with the subject matter experts and operational stakeholders to ensure relevance, comprehension and engagement.
- Monitor training effectiveness and participation comprehension.
- Maintain training materials, ensuring they are up to date and compliant.
- Conduct Training sessions: Facilitate engaging training sessions, workshops and seminars to educate employees about Process Safety Hazards, Technical Process Safety (SIL, LOPA, HAZOPS, Root Cause Investigations, Permit to Work, Lotto.
- Measure and monitor SOP development and training progress.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the site COPs and SOPs.
